re: Is it okay to pursue a girl already in a relationship?

I can't say I ever pursued a woman who was engaged, but I definitely pursued women who were in relationships. I took two different tacks. For one, I "put it all on the line" kinda like Jim did later on with Pam. My thoughts were that I had the right to tell her how I felt, and she had the right to decide what to do with that knowledge. It didn't end up working out, and I haven't spoken to her in a long long time.
For the other, I was a little older and a little more subtle. I think that was influenced by us being friends and then my developing interest in her romantically. :women and men can't be friends: We both knew that we would be good fits for one another, but she was in a years long relationship with someone she did care about but didn't see a future with. About two months after they broke up, we started dating formally. It was quickly a hot and heavy relationship. I wish I could say it ended well, but we just had different plans for life, career, family. I moved off, and we have barely spoken since then. If I had stayed down South, we would've likely stayed together.

Coffee. Its simple, its not a date, its in public, and you get one on one time. If she's "been thinking about it," she already wants to f*ck or at least get out of the current situation. Either way you can't f*ck her if you don't try....She ain't married bro. Go for it!

Had breakfast with my potential this morning. It's a weird situation. She's so freshly divorced and I've been divorced for 3 years now. Everyone says just be friends for a while and maybe it will develop later. But it seems we're both kind of interested. Well, I certainly am and she seems to be somewhat. Had great conversation this morning even after being exhausted from working all night. Have to see if maybe we do something this weekend or not.
It's hard to try to stay friends when you click a lot and there seems to be really good chemistry.

That's the thing though. I'm not just trying to frick her.
ETA we work together so that's a definite no-go on the just trying to bang her anyway.

My wife and I dated when we were teenagers for a couple of months. Fast forward about 10 years, she had a boyfriend of 8 years, though it was obviously at a pretty low point. Her and I met up one night. She broke up with him the next day, we began dating immediately after. Today's actually our 10 year anniversary.
shite just works out sometimes.

what are you, some kind of homo??
jk, she's vulnerable as frick right now, unfortunately, if she thinks you aren't interested, someone's gonna lock her up pretty quickly unless she's a psycho bitch

Oh she knows I'm interested. We talked openly about if we date down the road this morning.
