Women do not belong in Cub, Weeblos or Boy scouts in any fashion.
If I’m in a group called Weeblo, I’d rather it be led by chicks than dudes, just sayin’. ;-)

female Boy Scout leaders is nothing new. Usually she’s either the scoutmaster’s wife, a mom, or both.
In many cases she is an administrator and/or board member.

It’s Webelos. And that’s cub scouts, not Boy Scouts.

My mom became active during my Cub Scout days. She organized the Cub Scout den in our area from nothing and got scouting going. When we joined Boy Scouts, she was an Assistant Scout Master and was really active. She became a Shooting Sports Director (NRA certified for Boy Scouts) and still teaches shotgun shooting, rifle shooting, and archery merit badges at Summer Camps. She has gone to Philmont three times and is about to go again for her fourth time next summer. She’s a Vigil in the Order of th Arrow.
I’ve been out of Scouting since earning my Eagle about 17 years ago. And she’s still active. She loves it and the boys in our troop have a helluva time when she’s around. She has a lot to offer them from her nearly thirty years in Scouting.

A female Scoutmaster would be very, very, very odd. I've never seen one.
However, I have seen plenty of moms serve as treasurer/fundraising, committee on scouting and committee chairs, merit badge counselors, etc.

Not that abnormal. Usually comes from a woman going from cubscout Den Mother to Scout Leader

Historically ALL ScoutMasters and adult leaders for the Bot Scouts were men. Since the 1970's the divorce rate has increased where it is around 50%. Many of these boys have lost their biological dad, and end up with no dad or a step-dad. Their biological dad ends up looking for another mate, and has to work overtime to make ends meet since they have lost half of everything. They are starting over.
This situation has caused many men to be absent from Scouting. The moms try to step in, but they cannot replace the male.
Scouting is completely different when it is an all male environment versus a mixed sex environment. There is no substitute. The boys can be boys without having helicopters constantly flying overhead. The moms I have seen do not know how to stay out of the way of the boys so they can learn how to be men.
If you confined a Troop that is all male, then the boys can really excel and learn how to become good young men who are helpful.

I do agree the epidemic of divorce is a problem for boys and men. There is no doubt that the family court system is irresponsibly in default favor of women.

Women can’t replace men. But it is totally inaccurate that divorced fathers in America have been prevented from being leadership in their sons’ Scout den or in similar organizations. This isn’t like WWII, where all the men are out of the country and women have to step up to man the assembly lines.

I agree that male leadership is obviously crucial in Boy Scouts. Our pack is a mix of men and women leading, organizing, and volunteering, but it’s still undeniably a boys’ organization
Den mothers have been around since beginning of scouts. They are tough, knowledgeable, organized, stern, and fun. Little and big sisters have been coming with the parent and their brother on outings for years. These “moms you have seen helicoptering and can’t stay out of the way” are just bringing cupcakes and helping out.
And why call out the annoying moms? Men who couldn’t lead young boys through 2 sweltering weeks of (8 hours outdoors) summer day camp, who can’t teach 7 and 8 years old how to shoot B.B. guns, can’t even tie proper knots will b*tch about the wussification of Boy Scouts. “I can’t be in a boys club, I’m just doomed to be absent from fatherhood because muh divorce, and the woman gets to teach junior to canoe and tell dad jokes.”

Cub Scouts have den mothers.
I assume Boy Scouts have something similar.
