Not racist, but not entirely accurate. As a percentage based on population, overwhelmingly. In terms of raw numbers, that's whites, just by virtue of the the significant difference in overall population. By far the most law abiding racial makeup are Asian/Pacific Islanders who are 5% of the population but account for 1.2% of all crimes.
Does this mean certain races are more prone to lawlessness. Or is it indicative of opportunity? Culture? Attitudes toward the legal system, laws, and government?
I honestly don't know the answers except that I am certain it is not race alone, too many hard working, law abiding black folks for that to be the case.
Virtually all of the scoff laws I know grew up in a home or culture rife with that same attitude. Most of the exceptions I know had some event or series of events that cause them (usually without good reason IMO) to become completely disaffected with either government or law enforcement.
I guess I'm just getting old and I'm tired of people trying to mask what they really mean. We need to be able to openly discuss things, People need to face their own demons, including racist and prejudicial thinking (this is not only white people but all people). We all (again. ALL people) have it, it's wired into us as a protective mechanism. But it will take us places we don't want to go unless we confront it in ourselves.

Mostly the same, but context can matter. And I'd be glad PC is dead if I thought it really was. And FTR I am neither black nor liberal, do not think affirmative action helps much of anything, hate quotas and taxes. And particularly hate the infringements of free speech rights that the PC community seeks to impose on people. I don't want people to quit talking this way because the have to, I want them to choose to change how they think about it. That's the only way any real change ever occurs. Then when a guy makes a joke like that, it's funnier because the intent is less suspect.

I agree, I'm pretty easy to laugh at, too.
I don't really fell offended by racism, just disappointed. Unfortunately, those things are difficult to properly get across via this medium.
