I despised moving to Houston at first, even though the money was a lot more for me over here. Then I got a place in a cool neighborhood. Once you explore the local places in the neighborhoods Houston looks a lot better. Of course I would love to move back to NOLA, but Houston has a lot going for it for what it is just don't think it's such a great place. Plus driving two hours and having hill country is great.

Noonan what part of Houston? We live in Cypress and like it. The amount of people from Louisiana here is staggering.

I'm in League City. Family across the street from me is from Louisiana.

Definitely lots of Louisiana people around me. I think the hate that Houston gets is primarily from people that have never been to Houston. But I get it, because when I lived in Louisiana and would come to Houston I hated Houston too.

I don't think I could live inside the loop though, I really like being south of the city.

Those who sold their Houston based companies associated with oil around 1980 before the big oil bust all moved to the Hill Country. I haven't been there in decades.

Many more opportunities in Houston especially in the Oil and Gas business.
