Is hiding your Facebook friends trashy?

I suspect there are people who'll say things like, "no, it's just a matter of privacy," but I do see a correlation between general trashiness and making one's Facebook friends list private. It seems to indicate a high level of drama or something. There could even be a correlation with adulterous / promiscuous behavior.
