I actually do that but it is hanging off my work lanyard hanging off the mirror so it is below where anybody can see it.
I picked up a freebie in case I ever have to wear one.

Why would I want to wear it while driving? It’s the most logical place to put it, so I don’t forget to take it in and wash it when I get out.

I have hung my mask on my rearview mirror, but ZFG about what people think. I have worn a mask once, when I had a doctor's appointment and was forced to wear one. However, starting tomorrow, we have to wear a mask when we go out. I have decided that I hated wearing masks less than I hate being stuck in the house. It's just easier to leave it in my car, because I will not wear it in the house. Our governor can KMA, but unfortunately, the blind sheep outweigh the critical thinkers.

Law enforcement can stop you for an obstructed view if your mask hangs on your rear view mirror. Would they actually issue a ticket? Probably not but they’d use it as a pretext to fish for other charges.
