Why Otis would you think Monsanto would not organize in response to the IRAC declaration given the massive organization the anti GMO people had developed and Bobby Kennedy Jr sworn vindictiveness?

IRAC, BTW, is a politically appointed subdivision of the WHO that does no real research. They have said hot liquids, coffee and bacon are probable carcinogens too.

The EPA says unequivocally that Roundup is not a public health risk and that was excluded from the trial by the California judges. You can imagine the appointees Obama sent to their annual meeting.

The juries are being told staff like found in the link you posted that are simply attacks on Monsanto but lack any scientific proof Roundup is a carcinogen. They say Monsanto and the EPA colluded. The EPA, BTW, has to approve all language on any pesticide label and they dictate the warnings.

Why if Roundup is a carcinogen would the EPA not require a warning? It is not illegal to sell carcinogens. California says beer and wine are carcinogens and require warnings on the label.

Ding! Ding! Ding! I B...good question! That is one of the primary goals of this litigation...force proper warnings on the product!

Then why not sue the EPA? They dictate the warnings and they have pounded Monsanto in the past on compounds like Lasso. Have you read the EPA review of glyphosate?

You lay down a quarter-mile line of glyphosate to make your fence look nice? Geez, it's no wonder young people can't screw right anymore if that's what people are doing.

It is a BS money grab.

The EPA is not bashful about removing products from the market and in this case they are all for glyphosate and you think they are corrupt? Were they corrupt when they removed Lasso from the market?

Glyphosate has been around since 1973 and suddenly after Obama sent radicals who lost their fight against GMOs to represent the US on the IRAC review board glyphosate is a problem?

Obama did what the trial lawyers wanted—he gave them an opportunity to get a big corporation in front of a jury. They don’t have to prove anything. They just have to twist and contort testimony enough to convince 12 people they might as well have picked out of a line at Wal Mart to give their poor cancer ridden client a bunch of the big company’s money.

So ask yourself what's the link between genetically modified crops and glyphosate and you'll find out the real reason it's the number one target in pesticides today. It's a huge pile of bovine scat generated from the environmental crowd. There are much more potentially dangerous pesticides in the insecticide category. Why? Because their mode of action on insects is identical to the way they'd act on humans.

Look at pesticides this way—they are chemicals the EPA has evaluated and allowed to be sold as pesticides.

There are a lot of chemicals that will kill pest BUT are not safe for people or the environment. Chemicals like bleach and diesel and gasoline and oven cleaner can kill pest but they are not as safe in the environment or to people as the chemicals the EPA has approved as pesticides.

This. Everyone should read the book "Tomatoland" by Barry Estabrook, specifically the chapter on spraying and birth defects. It will open your eyes to the really dangerous practices at industrial farms that go on every day.

Also, by and large, most pesticides and herbicides used today can be safe. However, that safety is dependent upon the proper use of the chemical and the proper PPE used by those applying it. Too often corners are cut in both regard, by both large entities and individuals. I see it on the small farms near me all the time. That stuff written on the labels is not a suggestion, it should be viewed as a rule to be followed at all times.

Not all herbicides are insecticides and not all insecticides are herbicides, and in fact, none of the above are alike in any shape, form or biological fashion, but all of them are pesticides because they kill pests.

I have held a commercial license for years with qualifications in forestry and right-of-way in dozens of states for reasons unknown other than the normalcy akin to that of a man testing the grilling tongs before he flips his burgers.

Believe it or not, the government licensing and hierarchy of said licenses are as redundant as the pesticide vs. herbicides vs. insecticide labels, and by design: more revenue for the plant bureaus through fines; while zero problems are solved by the culprit of the real problems.

Herbicides & Insecticides= pesticides.
