Everything should be open. I thought the type of closures you're talking about for holidays were only if holidays that don't always fall on same day of the week happened to fall on a Sunday, then Monday becomes the day off work that year

ie. Christmas, New Years, July 4

Taxes are due on Tuesday do to a holiday in Washington on Monday. Post offices close for every little holiday so it wouldn't surprise me if they are closed.

I didn't think so, but with tax day being Tuesday it make me think something was up and now Monday is all of sudden a holiday. Plus some schools don't go back to school until Tuesday.

Most places where I live will be shut down for Patriots Day, but no. Easter Monday is not a thing.

This is what I was wondering. So Washington is taking off, post office is probably closed but banks are open

Easter Monday is the day after Easter Sunday. It is not a federal holiday in the United States of America (USA). Some Easter traditions continue on the Easter Monday, such as the egg rolling race at the White House.

Oh, well, Wednesday will be the Wednesday after Easter, so what are you doing for Easter Wednesday?

Today is Easter. There is no Easter Monday.

Easter Monday was formerly regarded as unlucky and was therefore known as Black Monday (White Monday in Greece). Many sources attribute this expression to great losses of life during military expeditions but Monday itself was generally considered unlucky. It meant returning to school after the Easter break for many school children and was also known as Bloody Monday.
In medieval England women were allowed to haul out of bed any man they found there. Even Kings Edward I and Edward II went through this tradition. It was traditional for men to lift women three times by the arms and legs in northern England, where women would return the act on the following day. Easter Monday was known as the Day of the Easter Egg Bundle or the Day of Feasts in Ireland.
