Went to private school all my life until college. It was never a problem. In high school everyone was super chill with each other and pretty much got along.

I think public/private would be the same. I went to both. Never saw a difference. The only place bullying seemed to be a problem was on the bus and in the locker room.

I've heard that the all-girl catholic schools can be pretty vicious.

Personally, I went to a private elementary school and a catholic high school. I don't think that I ever experienced any excessive bullying. I don't think that I saw too much happen to others either. My group of friends in highschool were probably worse to each other than any outsiders.

…or by boys held back to start a year late by their parents so they won't be the youngest in their class.

Public by far. Private school kids don't tend to beat the dog shite out of each other in the same way public schools do. They may be manipulative bullies, but there aren't that many people that get the shite kicked out of them constantly like in public school.

There were never any fights.

Public by a mile. Duh.

I don't know how public schools would handle it, but I'm pretty sure that if there was a serious fight at either of my elementary or high schools then there would be a decent chance of expulsion. If it was repeated problems then it would definitely be expulsion.

I just pulled my kids from private to public. Emotional bullying was MUCH more prevalent in private school. Public school its more physical. I can say that neither of my kids are bullied.

Public. Yes, because of black people.

Just kidding. I say private, because of all the bratty, entitled rich kids. Those little frickers are worse than John Hughes villains.
