There’s nothing endearing about wasting your life away in a bar.

Define this. I am married, have two kids who play high school sports, own and run a multi-million dollar business, manage ten employees, go on multiple vacations a year, spend time with family, and yet I still have an hour a day to take care of myself.

If you look in the mirror and are okay being out of shape with a belly hanging over your pants, that’s fine. There’s a reason that’s accepted on this board and being “swole” isn’t, and it has nothing to do with vanity.

pretty much me...i have 3 kids younger than hs, i work as an engineer but own a business too and have 5 employees, go on multiple vacations, am off by 4 to spend time with my boys, I prep their lunches daily, they lift in the garage gym couple times a week, they practice sports of some kind almost daily, we go to church every sunday, we eat dinner as a family most days and most mornings they eat breakfast with the wife right after i leave. I wake up and make their breakfast and lunch every day.

during our busy seasons when all three are playing a sport we dont get to sit down together during the week as I am blowing and going with them until like 730 most nights and still have to help with homework and spend time with the wife

if i can do that and still be able to hit the gym 4x per week and get my steps in and get my meals packed.....pretty much anyone can.

its funny the ones that say they dont have time are almost always the ones who know the most about the latest tv show or movie, their kids are never in sports and their kids dont make great grades.....yet they claim to not have time.....its laughable

now im not swole, at least i dont think i am. im 195ish at about 18% right now which is fat for me. But i would say im in better shape than 95% of the public and prolly 80% of those in the gym and im only 10 weeks out from major knee surgery. If i can, anyone can

stop watching tv!!

So you’re all of those things plus you have a body like Arnold Schwarzenegger? You’re a god and the envy of normal folk

Again, define swole and don’t deflect. If your definition of swole is Arnold, that’s a whole other conversation

no dumbass he is saying it isnt that hard

1) stop going home and plopping on the couch, most people sit all day at work and cant wait to go sit at home.

2) turn the tv off and get off social media after work

3) get up and move around during the day

4) instead of going out to eat at lunch time, hit the gym for 45min of lifting

5) instead of sitting on the couch watching tv with the wife, go for a walk and actually speak to each other instead of staring at your phones and half arse watching a show while not speaking to each other

6) cook meals with the wife, have fun with it.

So far we’ve used Arnold and Barry Bonds as examples. I don’t think the general population uses that definition as swole, I think the standard is much lower

And that’s my point. Those guys have made a living off of it and it’s their profession and lifestyle. However, it seems that anyone who has high skeletal muscle mass and low BF% could objectively be called swole

I don’t think men in their 40s and 50s should be juicing their T to that of a pubescent teenager. Not everyone on trt does that, but it happens very often

I thought you were semi knowledgable about health and fitness, guess I was wrong.

Nothing wrong with levels between 1200-1500

I’ve been called swole a couple of times but definitely not in the meathead way that’s being debated.

I’m roughly same age and size as Marky Mark but do not wear the ultra tight fitting shirts like he does. Nobody looks at me in business attire and thinks I’m swole.

i mean there arent that many of those guys in the US period. so i assume they were talking like guys like greg o gallager that are like 5'8-5'10 175-185 lbs

but if they are talking insane mass monsters that are like 5'6-5'8 at 250+ mostly lean.....well yea i mean i guess they are right

but frick...how many of them are there out there, not many
