Is being high (from weed) worse, better, or the same as being drunk around your kids?

Talking kids age 10/11+ because being intoxicated around toddlers and infants is always trashy

Kids don’t know your drunk or high in this scenario

Only someone who has never smoked before would say alcohol is better.

You’ve never been to a 2 year olds birthday party then.

Getting half smashed and then breaking through the fence in a bear costume and attacking the clown is the pinnacle of fun.

both are pretty trashy, what if the kid(s) got hurt or sick and needed to go to the ER, just for starters?

Being very relaxed, calm, easy to laugh, maybe a bit hungry, maybe a bit tired

vs

Being loud, angry, sloppy, semi-incoherent

seems pretty obvious to me

the question wasn't whether or not its a good thing, just which one was worse

We talking drunk or just buzzed?

I smoke but only after the kids go to bed (granted my youngest is 15 and knows I smoke). My eyes turn so damn red that it's pretty easy to figure out I'm high...don't like being around her like that. It's obviously not a matter of being out of control or anything, just high, but appearances matter.

Totally comfortable around my kids if I'm drinking and just have a buzz. I'm a happy drinker, don't often drink enough to slur or stumble around or anything, so not a big deal to interact with the kids.

Now if we're talking drunk drunk? Yeah, high is MUCH better.

Yeah, if you’re drunk/high and no one knows, then how could either be worse? The way the OP was worded after the edit threw me off.

I'm old and not around many yutes, but I haven't been around my mother-in-law and/or sister-in-law in 5-6 years, without smoking a couple of bowls before.
