Do people who consider themselves an activist put that shite on their resume? And if someone does nothing be be an activist, how do they get paid?

Organizers get paid. I know a few people who are organizers. One works for a voter registration organization and travels around the country to oversee registration drives in minority communities. The other is more of a cultural/urban planning organizer but has turned it into a very lucrative career. Better Block is the company he started along with another friend. They travel the world putting on "Better Block" demonstrations in different cities to try and create better urban spaces through community involvement.

He funded the occupation group, who was armed to the teeth and ready to cause havoc, but it never caught on, hipsters got bored.
