I’m against marriage in any form, personally. But hey, anyone that wants to put themselves through the hassle, go for it.

what's your opinion on children being introduced to such things before hitting puberty, having their first kiss, having their first girlfriend/boyfriend, etc?

The same opinion I have on them being introduced to hetero things during the same time frame.

besides the overly dramatic response.

And my response calling this guy a bigot was not overly dramatic

He said this:

quote:

Also I don't think gay couples should be allowed to adopt children. They may be stellar parents but introducing a child into an already deviant lifestyle just adds another element to an already confusing lifestyle.

He's a bigot and a bad person. He doesn't care if kids without families would get, what he admits would be great parents, because he thinks they're deviants?

What a joke. Really damn sad.

The same as my opinion on children being introduced to relationships between men and women. It's a part of life, and it isn't deviant behavior. Think about what that word means, and that guy is accusing. Deviant. It means that you think they don't have a place in productive society. And the rest of what he says to the contrary is just him being too scared or too stupid to take a stand on what the rest of what he is saying means.

then we agree. as with most difficult subjects for children (sex, death, religion, etc) they should be taught what being gay is/means etc at HOME.

My strong stance is : that this subject is my right as a parent to teach them and choose when and how to teach them about these subjects. i should never have that right taken away from me and put in the hands of public educators who may hold different opinions than me, my family, or my religion.

I don't think sexuality should really be taught at all in schools.

Scientific context for reproduction at an early age is fine and a safe sex talk around puberty age should be taught I think.

But I think we agree mostly.

That guy's adoption comment really pissed me off though.

Yep, it’s out of bounds. If two gay people are seen as a couple by the state then adoption as all other right’s as a couple should be afforded to them

It wasn't even a legal thing to me as much as a moral issue.

I know a couple that adopted children even though had a couple of their own and the stories they've told us are heartbreaking.

There are so many children without families that are wasting away in foster homes in poor conditions and this guy had the nerve to say that, even if the gay couple could be stellar parents to these kids and give them a loving family, that he doesn't think these children should be given to them because they're "deviants".

Clearly a misguided soul. Pretty horrible.

In the bible it says, "choose this day whom you will serve"....

So your own God gives you the option to choose.

Yet, you somehow elevate yourself above your own God to take away someone's choice?

Not sure what your issues are but perhaps your medical coverage will cover it.

And no I would not rather them go without parents. Bad assumption on your part.

Go back to whatever you were doing. And don't be an arse.
You literally said you don't think gay couples should be allowed to adopt children. Less people being allowed to adopt means less kids being adopted. Please quit trying to hide behind some "nothing against gays" bullshite excuse when every other sentence you've posted supports another story.

Nah.... Whatever they wanna do within themselves, fine... Don't try to force everyone else to be ok with it.

If there is a question of approving it or not, it should be voted on, by the people which have to live in that society.

That's fair.

What is so dumb about his opinion?

Read his opinion below. You think those are good reasons for gay marriage to be illegal?

quote:

If so, why?

A: it's disgusting/gross
B: its a sin. Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.
C: it seems as though everywhere one turns, it's being put in our faces. Gay marriage this and gay marriage that.

Not always.

What if we put a popular vote up asking if Native Americans should be charged an extra 50% sales tax, and that money be distributed to all other races.

This will most likely get passed, correct?

We adopted a baby at birthday and she has a stellar, privileged life especially compared to what she would’ve had.

So don’t tell me that I’m a “bad person”.

Besides my CPA and her gay lover adopted and they’re great parents.

I am entitled to my opinion I just don’t think it’s ideal for gay couples.

You're a bad person.

You think that kid your CPA adopted shouldn't live with deviants and would be better off not being adopted.

You are, in fact, a piece of shite human.

I don't see you attacking people on here for saying they don't agree with gay marriage.

Go to hell.
