They are "Doctors of Chiropractic Medicine". Within the limits of their profession, they can perform good things.

Medical Doctors are also Doctors of their profession and working within the limits of their profession. They can't do everything, just like chiropractors can't. Present either one with an advanced case of liver cancer, and they are at a loss, except to sympathetically say, "I'm sorry."

If you hurt, give the chiropractor a chance - get a recommendation first.

Doctors will tell you to go get surgery if there is something wrong with your back but back surgery does not work that often.

Chiropractors can work on your back without you having to have surgery and it helps people feel better and it cures them without having to have surgery. I’ve seen this firsthand. Chiropractors can be really good people if they know what they’re doing

They can also mess your back up - they still use xrays when Ortho docs are using MRI and CT-

If they miss their diagnosis with an xray you may wind up having back surgery. Friend on my had the ambulance pick him up at chiro doc's office and after arriving that the hospital he had surgery.

The reason your insurance covers Chiro's is the PI lawyers help lobby for insurance inclusion. You read between the lines

My friend is a chiropractor and some of our friends call her Dr. Something I? refuse to do.

My cousin married one and I've heard her and her parents refer to him as Dr. Everyone else just calls him by his name.

Dr's don't usually treat you according to what your insurance will pay

Yeah, they just ignore you during your appointment, make a Dx without a proper examination, do what they need to get you to shut up and go away and then they go to their office and fabricate a bunch of items / codes to over charge your insurance and commit fraud. So, yeah, they are much better than a chiropractor.

Depends on the individual

I'd trust David Corbin with my spine

I'd trust a graduate from life university (it's a great chiropractic school)

The lack of education in this thread is hilarious lol. A chiropractor is an average of 7 years of schooling, much like Physical Therapy. It is far from jerking or cracking your neck.

Doctors will prescribe you 90 pills that are slowly killing you. Here, take this, don’t mind the awful side effects.

You’re fat, but instead of losing weight to help your blood pressure, take this pill.

This. Chiros have survived through state legislation protecting their field.

And 3 years of their education, the chiro part, is total quackery.

You know nothing about their practice lol. Explain what a chiro does. Don’t use google.

Go

Edit: it’s been 30 minutes and no answer. Point proven.

Lololol at a chiropractor "curing" fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is an issue that has nothing to do with the body. Its a psychomotor issue that usually correlates to individuals with some type of depression or stress in their life.

This is so stupid. Most of the meds doctors prescribe are so that they can keep these people alive beyond the age of 50. It shouldn't be up to the doctor to get someone to diet and exercise. A doctor should definitely suggest these things, but it is up to the individual to make that commitment. This puts doctors into a spot where they are forced to either prescribe meds, or just let people die of MIs and strokes before they are 50. Do you think that doctors dont think about the side effects of every med they prescribe?
