I've never once in my life used "guy" in that context or anything even similar.

I fricking hate when people call me "guy."

I don'tike the term "Thank You" so I use the under appreciated "Much Obliged" and if you are thanking me for something I like to say "No problem Cap" just to piss people off

If someone calls me hoss I just assume they want to fight me.
