What is the OT experience? Does your maid like IRobot?

We liked ours at first but now I hate it. It's loud as hell and doesn't get underneath the base of the cabinets in the kitchen. It's much faster and more efficient to just sweep or vacuum the old fashioned way yourself.

Get a Roborock S6 or S50 models from 2019 or 2018.

Great product. Great value.

We have one and it does reasonably well for the big stuff. Our house isn't easy for it to map so a lot of times we put it in a room and shut the door. It gets stuck a lot too and will destroy your dangling phone cords.

Overall, we use it a lot but it doesn't work nearly as well as advertised imo.

If you have a dog, it's good to keep hair and dust at bay in major areas. But you will still have to sweep and vacuum yourself.

We thought it was a neat gadget for a while but got old fast. Not that great a vacuum and always seemed to get stuck or miss areas. Ended up giving it away

We've got the 960 and it's incredible imo. We have dog and cat so it's great for pet hair and cleans under the furniture. It gets stuck under couch every blue moon but not very often.

Lots of OT hate for roomba but it's a game changer imo.

ps - forgot to mention we did have the dreaded shite pile adventure. Dog dropped a deuce unbeknownst and roomba drove back and forth thru it then spread it around the room. I took the thing totally apart to clean all the internal parts.

We've had one for years. I just purchased the new one with room mapping and the disposal unit for my wife for Xmas. No complaints here. Sure it will make noise but every vacuum makes noise.

Unless your have hardwood floors or tile throughout the house, they are not worth it. I’ve had two different ones and they constantly get stuck or run over something you forgot to pick up. They are terrible on carpet or rugs so if your house has them don’t even bother

It works ok for daily "maintenance", especially if you have a pup. It is not a substitute for regular cleaning/sweeping/traditional vacuuming.

We had a roomba (fairly high end one) several years ago. It didn't map or anything, so it was frustrating from the outset but did an ok job. At some point it got pretty stupid and we couldn't fix it.

It would just spend 5-10 minutes going in circles or running into the same wall. We replaced parts, etc. but it always went back to being dumb.

We've considered trying again, probably Roborock this time.

We had one (it recently died), that we would put in the bedrooms periodically to run. It was good in that it would get under the furniture and the beds, areas that don't otherwise get much attention. So for that use, it worked well. I wouldn't plan to rely on it as your sole source of vacuuming though.

make sure you have mapping.

I have a shark version with mapping and a base where it can empty itself out. It doesn't do as good of a job as vacuuming but with my dog I was vacuuming every day to feel human. Now I vacuum/mop once a week and the shark keeps it decent in between.

I've been running my i7+ plus pretty much every day for two years. It has its moments like any tech, but a huge noticable difference in stopping pet and female hair clumps from forming.

Also runs in kitchen every day making sure food pieces from cooking and such never accumulate.

If you have a low couch you will need to go Eufy most likely. iRobot doesn't make them low enough for that.

If you have a Puppy that isn’t 109% house trained PAUSE your brand new Roomba before leaving the house.

We bought another one, lol.

It was a game changer for us. We won't go without one again.

You have to understand that it isn't a substitute for a good sweep though, just to stretch out time between those sweeps. Ours doesn't map, just randomly wanders so it isn't going to hit every inch every time it runs but its going to get the vast majority if you run it every day during the week.

We have hard floors throughout the living area, a dog, and 2 kids. I'm amazed how much crap that thing picks up daily. We run it everyday while everyone is gone. It is loud so I don't like it running while we are home.

Our only problem right now is the damn dog apparently think its as annoying as we do. He figured out how to press the button on top to make it stop.

Try looking into the Wyze Robot coming out soon. Great price point for a robot with room mapping.
