For Iran, they had to do something. If they didn't, it would look weak to its people.
This is probably the end of this situation. With that said, it wouldn't surprise me if there are some sort of proxy attacks. Take that how you want it, but I think anything else related to this situation will happen in ways that can't be tied back to either country.
