I believe you are correct and I agree. It’s saber rattling on both sides and maybe not quite enough to satisfy the hardliners but I’m guessing it’s close.
The US knows Iran’s capabilities and are aware of their exposure but I wouldn’t call them vulnerabilities. There is a lot more strategic decisions being made than the public being made aware of.
I think the cries for “no war” are not well thought out and knee jerked-caused by some hysterical media and politicians.
And for all the political posturing from the left not much was said when we had a Democratic president for 8 years who for the most part, and to his credit, stayed the course the Iranian agreement notwithstanding.
If this action was taken by a president Hillary Clinton little would be said and she would have Democratic political cover and republican political acceptance. It’s pretty hypocritical to be honest and everyone with half a brain can see that.

Well some people can have a civil discussion on current geopolitical events that actually can affect us, even if it is only disruptive to the stock markets which many people have money invested in.

Ok. IMO this is key. Did Iran Aim to not hit troops??? Or did we get enough notice to know where the strikes were gonna be and got out of the way. If Iran missed on purpose then that is a concern to me.however Iran does not want any kind of war with us. We would destroy that country within two days. Now the rest of the world would hate us but you gotta do what you gotta do.

How do we know. We had advanced warnings plus we could tell as soon as they were launched we had a very good idea of where missed were headed.

Ironic that "the big bad just wants to destroy the world" Iran appears less unhinged than Trump and his butthole cleaners.
