This really isn't a surprise.
Iran's hopes are pinned to the idea of getting everyone in the world to look at the US, and say 'That guy's an a-hole!'-- that's how they garner sympathy. When you have video footage of you shooting down the plane with a SAM, and deny it and stomp your feet, you instead look like a gaping a-hole. So, Iran is going to take their medicine over this one, and call the entire experience of the past few weeks a bitter lesson on how not to try to frick with the West.
