what's the difference between Apple Music and iTunes Radio?

Spotify vs Pandora
Not familiar with Spotify. Kind of familiar with iTunes radio and Pandora. I also have all my music on iPod. So the short answer doesn't help my Ltd-tech dinosaur brain understand. Can someone translate into very simple bite-sized nuggets? Thanks in advance.

Radio vs. On Demand.

Also streaming vs. the ability to download songs/playlists so you don't have to use data when you're on the go.

Enjoying Apple music so far. Fortunately I canceled my spotify a couple weeks back due to their stupid policies.

Looks like I won't be going back to them.

No. It still crashes if you click into the dialogue box first.

So is there any reason to keep ITunes Match anymore with this? Trying to figure out what if anything I would lose if I stopped that subscription

I'm doing the 3 month trial and canceled my renewal for iTunes Match. I won't really know how this will affect me until it expires.

The difference is where the music originates from... With match, you are listening to apple's copy of your music... With Apple music, you are listening to your own copy that has been uploaded to the cloud. The big question is offline listening and I'm still not clear on if a song gets uploaded to your devise to play from the cloud thereby taking up space.

I'm guessing the "Your Music" section would only show music actually on your phone instead of what's really in your whole library? But I feel like they should still show up, it just wouldn't stream the iTunes version of it?

If that's the case, shite, I'll save the $25

Right. I think iTunes match will be gone soon anyway. Apple would rather push you to the cloud anyway.

My understanding is that you will have access to all of your own music with Apple music from any device.

Again, I still need to figure out offline options.

Kind of backwards there. With iTunes match, you are listening to Apple's copy, IF it is a 'matched' song. Songs it doesn't match are uploaded to Apple's servers for you to download/stream on demand. With Apple Music, you are only listening to Apple's copy.

I'll be keeping my iTunes Match because I have a bunch of bootleg albums/live recordings that are not on the iTunes store and therefore not available through Apple Music.

Open the Music app and hit the giant button in the middle of the screen that says "START 3-MONTH FREE TRIAL"

Ok I got it to crash now. If I click on the dialogue box first and try to link and img, it crashes. Quoting works, as did font changing.

Seems like everything works if I don't click on the dialogue box first.

ETA - change don't to font

iTunes Match is in the cloud. And Eddy Cue hinted that it would be expanding from a 25,000 song limit to a 100,000 song limit this September.
