This expert witness is not the type you want if you are a defendant. Top notch and excellent in explanations.
No doubt. I don’t think the defense can swift the direction like they did with some of the previous witnesses.

Dude we get it, you gargle with Alex Murdaugh’s ginger ball sack.
No need to keep chiming in like an impartial observer taking notes.

This is true; but prosecution hasn't given any indication of what the conclusion is they are trying to make with this evidence. They have done a poor job laying out their theory of the case, and the jury is not going to remember all of this convoluted timeline without knowing the larger theory of case that they are trying to prove. They should have done a better job in opening communicating their overall theory so jury could tie this stuff to that.
Thus far, it just a bunch of data being thrown out.

One of the biggest objectives the prosecution made during the opening statement is that they have cell phone proof that AM was there during the murders. The evidence presented this afternoon is laying the foundation and leading up to their proof that he was there. the AG told the jury during the opening statement, to listen to the interviews, how AM presents himself during those interviews, pay close attention to the cell phone evidence.
None of this cell phone evidence was leaked prior to the trial. There has to be something they discovered on the phones, especially Paul’s, that the State truly believes that makes AM guilty. The question is whether or not it will be enough to convince the jury. It will be difficult because they have all this evidence but no murder weapon. If the evidence doesn’t exactly pin him the murders, I think it could be a hung jury.

I have idea who the guy is... nor do I care

As of this moment... the prosecution is just boring the jurors to death... not telling a cognitive story nor presenting a compelling case

Trial is back on from lunch. Interesting that before the Jury was allowed back in, the defense was questioning the chain of custody in regards to Paul’s phone. DH was motioning that people on the chain be brought in for testimony to ensure the chain of custody is authenticated. I think we are getting close to hearing what was discovered on the phone within the next day or so.

Will it let lose on Friday (morning) to dominate the news media for the weekend? Definitely not a 5pm Friday afternoon drop.

I had no idea “they” could tell exactly when the Lock Screen changes from landscape to portrait when it’s picked up . That’s insane. When they said the camera turned on while the phone was locked I tensed up and was waiting on them to say it got a shot of Alex’s face or something.

I was amazed at all the things they could unlock.

I know. For a second I thought they was going to drop the biggest bombshell. I thought it was interesting that the phone orientation changed and then Alex calls the phone seconds after that. Could he have been calling in hopes the phone unlocks so he can destroy what is on there?
I curious if they just have audio of Alex in Paul’s phone or does the Snapchat show him on video also. That would put him at the scene but curious, if he is on video, what he was wearing. The LE agent that night said it look liked he was wearing dry clothes.

Welp, murders where the suspected killer controlled the crime scene before and after can be hard to convict.

That or looking to check that his alibi builder call went through.

I wonder if he kept calling her phone while he was holding it because he couldn’t make up his mind as to whether or not to answer it so it would unlock? Maybe he was playing things out in his head about how he would explain the phone being answered. He had to decide which was worse for him, not being able to delete stuff off her phone or having to explain how he got possession of it.

that would've come out during discovery and I guarantee you there's no trial right now if that had been the case... he would've pled guilty

Snapchat video just played places Alex at the scene near the time of the murders.

Witness also testified that AM deleted calls off of his phone from that night.
Posted on 2/1/23 at 11:27 am to CobraCommander83
There is also a Snapchat video from Paul’s phone showing him and AM riding around at 7:56pm. Don’t know if it contains anything sufficient. Maybe he had different clothes on or something like that.

Hopefully they have a voice analyst to testify

I'd like this expert to know that every time I'm driving on I-55... my phone thinks I'm walking and records steps
Posted on 2/1/23 at 11:45 am to rt3
Defense is giving the jury a timeline to chew on... something the prosecution has yet to do

Supposedly the family confirmed the voices. Don’t know if that is confirmed or not.
