We have had them things in our pond for a few years. Pink eggs all over

They have been around for 15 years or so.
The coons come and eat them at my boat landing regularly.
They also catch them on the bayou side off of the rip rap. Coons love them.
It’s fun to watch them fish out the meat with their paws.

Sharp billed ducks eat meat. Round billed ducks eat grass and such, but that really isn't important.
The end of the world must be accompanied by stuff like this so that God can tell us "I gave you so many chances and you choose the other pathway and the larger gate."
It will not be long before testicular boils begin to occur. I'm talking about the ones that splatter the wall across the ER room with puss and gag the doctors, when lanced.
There will be worse than that too.

Well a happy Sunday to you, too.

saw a documentary where a farmer got pet ducks to eat the snails.
Seen this at a golf course. They frick up some snails. I’m sure crawfish too but a crawfish can haul arse unlike a snail.

I do know that they make great catfish cut bait. I bust them out of the shells and then cut up the tough foot. Hook the cut bait toss out and hang on, channel cats and blue cats eat the hell out of them. They also work well for trotline bait.

Prices will jump. And in 4 years, they will tell us there’s not enough apple snails and prices will stay high.

This thing could do serious damage to rice fields if they can't figure out a way to stop it.
Start bringing in Snail Kites and Limpkins. Both eat the invasive snails.

I can't see USFWS, or anyone for that matter, introducing an endangered species into an area that it has never occurred. We already have an experimental, nonessential population of whooping cranes. I doubt many landowners would be crazy about another such population.
Limpkins could work, but I wonder about why they've never expanded past Florida/southern Georgia, and the impact they would have on native mollusks and other small prey species.
