Ah, I see. So the education system puts out idiots into corporate America, and we are all supposed to compensate for their stupidity. They're not held accountable for their mistakes...we are.

Here's what should have happened either way..... The insurance company should have sent a notice of some kind be it email or letter saying "you owe x amount". Problem solved.

No, you knew about a mistake on YOUR policy and made a conscious decision not to remedy it.

What any nonretard would do is make sure the payment was made in full to be covered and find a new agent.

Something doesn't add up with your story. Any decent insurance company would send you multiple emails or the agent would call you to inform you before your policy would lapse because of nonpayment. Sounds like you have a crappy agent.

I'm sorry you're a 45 year old obese psychopath consuming large swaths of Cheetos in your mommy's back bedroom.

Hope things get better.

Correct. And they have my phone and my email, so snail mail is not an excuse for them.

Imagine not being able to pay your own homeowners insurance and then slinging this insult. Tough scene!

because obese trolls are jacking off to it? No skin off my back. Folks take some issues seriously, some are obese irrational figs.

I'm happy that some folks here my benefit from hearing this situation and avoid it for themselves. I'm not here to gain favor from you or any other mommy's boys.

It never dawned on you that not paying the premium might jeopardize actually having the product you were trying to buy?

I bought a car the other day and after paying the new premium on it received another email saying a refund was coming for the premium amount.

I immediately called to figure out what was going on because I wanted to make sure the vehicle was insured. I didn’t say, “hey, maybe I’ll get lucky and get the money back and get free insurance”

This is common sense.

First off, I liked it better when you were banned.

Second, there is a lot of advanced stats and calculus that goes into underwriting a policy. There is also the company's internal accounting department that tracks customer payment or non-payment. The consumer does not have access to either of those systems. So they get a bill and pay it. The fact that it is not correct is not the fault of the consumer. The due diligence falls to the company to make sure billing is correct. To wit, most reasonable and reputable companies send a late payment notice before canceling a service. It doesn't sound like that happened either. Do you call and verify EVERY bill you get in the mail or online? I didn't think so.

You can call the OP a welfare queen, but they did everything they were asked to do by the company. In other words, they upheld their end of the contract. That's why when they called another agent, their policy was reinstated.
