Fortunately, no. I take them off every time I get home so I can wax them before I go to sleep.

Will my insurance rates go up if a comprehensive claim is made?

When you go to meet with the body shops about the damage, mention that you're deductible is $501.00 and see if you can get one of them to build that back into their estimates and refund you the money later.

And then go to jail for fraud! Yaaaaaaay!

I figure even if they don't fully pay claims either, they're cheaper, so eff it.

Claims for damages caused by natural events typically are not held against you, since they are unforeseeable and out of your control. But you should check with your insurer to be certain.

No. Your premium will only increase for at fault losses or repetitive losses.

You'd be surprised how many times a person can file a roadside assistance claim in one year. Normally they will just drop that coverage and not increase the premium.

I hope this is a joke or sarcasm.

Okay sweet. I've had Geico for about a year now and have made zero claims and haven't made a claim on any insurance since I was 17 (25 now) so that works well.

They seem to move fairly quickly.

Good luck with dealing with this.

I'm already nervous about what he said.

That's insurance fraud.

All insurance is a fraud!

Life insurance is you betting the insurance company you are going to die and they are betting you that you are going to live.

In order for you to win, you have to die.

And the same people who tell you to do stuff like that are the ones carrying minimal limits yet they hire attorneys every chance they can.

It is bullshite, all of it. Insurance companies think all their claimants are crooks.

I don't like Safeco insinuating I'm trying to screw them out of alignment on a car with 5,000 miles on it. I paid my deductible, I will collect on the last supplement and I'll move my $7K annual premium to Progressive.

I'm sure Chad's right, overall Safeco may be a better company, but I'll be damned if I'll pay 'em another nickel.

My favorite commercials to hate right now are the Liberty mutual ones where the people are wrecking their own cars (hydroplaning into a ditch, running into a tree and totaling a car) and birching because their rates are increasing. Well yea you just destroyed a $40,000 car and you've paid $749 in premium.

"Necessary evil"

If I could buy a policy with a $5K deductible, I would.
