Fair enough but I have been laying here for hours and I have to get up in 2 hours. This has been three days in a row

shite happens to me too.

One thing I found, was I often would get sleepy early, say 8 or 9. If I fight though it and then try to go to sleep a little later, say 10, I'd be just like you, night after night.

If I don't fight it and go ahead and fall asleep, I might wake up early, but I got a hell of a lot more sleep than otherwise.

And yeah, if I make myself stay up, say to watch a show, I pay for it that night with almost no sleep.

And honestly, if I could take a couple hits off a doobie around 9, I never have insomnia. Sleep like a baby. Unfortunately, doing the kind of work I do and having to pee in a cup, it's been a while since that's been a remedy. It sure worked well though when I could partake .

The great thing about insomnia one night is I know I will sleep the next night. I usually take a Melontonin to make sure.

Get yourself a crossword puzzle book. At bedtime, start doing crossword puzzles. Your brain will soon refuse to work any longer and you will pass out.

Or take some benedryl.

I usually get a book that is about an even or certain time in history. A book that is for soaking in knowledge and not really entertainment. One where info is packed on to the page.

Read it before bed with a couple zzzzzquil gel caps

?????

Profit

But for real I may have slept 2-3 hours last night. Way too much BS on my mind it seems. Need to Have a very productive day too

Melatonin works great for me but can make some people have vivid dreams/nightmares. Another option is magnesium supplements. Cheap and can get them on Amazon or at the grocery store, start out at 400mg.

I've got the same problem OP. Trouble falling asleep, and when I do not for very long. I've tried various things and some while they work leave me extremely groggy the next morning. Good luck,
