I worked for an Indian company for the last 3+ years. Not surprised by this at all.

Also, some of the questions they ask in interviews and info they request for onboarding would surprise many Americans.

The company is named “Yes Madam”?!?

Sounds like some sort of BDSM website.

We had a few people based in India on our team at my last job.

It ranged from:

A guy with the absolute best attitude I’ve ever come across, constantly trying to help and learn, his skills and knowledge weren’t great but this guy was an absolute pleasure to work with, probably in his 40s

To

A recent graduate that weaseled his way out of any responsibility and faked technical issues to get out of work, acted irritated when you gave him instructions, and was just blatantly disrespectful

On average, most were polite but not very competent. They could perform ok if you gave step by step instructions but good luck if you needed critical thinking or conclusions.

So from a country with 1.45 billion people, you experienced some with different personalities and work ethics. That's profound.

Y'all want entertainment? Indian people are absolutely crazy for WWE.

Look up some of their backyard wrestling matches. It's absolute insanity.

We took our developers out to a company lunch at a nice restaurant and one of the Indian developers ordered a $50 banana split for lunch. It came out on a giant platter and the wait staff brought it out with everyone else’s sandwiches and burgers. I will never forget the look on our CEOs face when they brought it out.
