Besides national ego, why fight over the region? It doesn’t seem to have many resources or a thriving economy.

Because if the residents decide that's not India then a foreign power would be that much geographically closer to Delhi.

My dad works for Ford. He landed in India Sunday, he'll be there 3 weeks. So if they could hold off till September, that'd be great.

Worked in more countries than I care to try and remember and I have developed a hard fast rule, if it ends in either 'ia" or "stan" it is near certain that it is a shithole, I have yet been forced to rethink this.
