The lander is still on the moon. Considered a success because it landed and transmitted a radio signal to a satellite. It was not capable of launching back into space.
But we pulled it off repeatedly 50 years ago……broadcasted it live, telephoned the president, then stopped going, forgot the tech and destroyed the footage. And haven’t been back since

That said, it really looks like crappy animation.
That's because it actually IS animation of the event. The article states that.
quote:
There isn't live video footage of the Chandrayaan-3 landing because the spacecraft did not have a camera pointed at itself during descent, and there was no other moon-based system there to record it. The mission's cameras were designed to take images of the lunar surface from the lander and rover, not of the landing event itself. ISRO did release video taken just before touchdown, but not a continuous live feed.
A "night" on the moon last 14 days. Once the rover ran out of solar power, it died. Slim chance of it restarting.

I wish the hole in the ground I had to poop in at the Delhi airport was as fake as that.
Lmao
Did you see the community towels, everyone uses to wipe thrown in the corner or is that just a Mexico thing.

The mission was never intended to return to Earth. This was an extremely low budget attempt.

Only seen that in Mexico. The only advantage of India is they have Bidets everywhere. So, at least after i had to squat over a hole in the ground i got to firehose my bung hole clean. Still wasn't enough to keep me from feeling dirty though. I hate that country.

They used animation to show what it might look like.
When the US actually landed on the moon, networks set up what it looked like with soundstages and actors, there were no cameras to actually record the landing.
Nutters claim that we faked it after watching the live simulation.
You have to remember that most of India has moron level IQ due their inbreeding for centuries

Seems like a lot of people in this thread graduated from Baton Rouge area schools

That’s all on purpose. The two lowest castes are all related. To keep them so stupid that they accept the misery of their lives.
ETA: Palestine and many Arab cultures do the same. The really surprising thing about inbreeding is Iceland. Everyone is related. They have a super high level of downs syndrome and every pregnant woman is tested for it. If positive state paid mandatory abortion. Evil personified.

this video does not even look real:
You do realize they aren’t presenting that as video of the actual craft landing?

Despite landing their spacecraft with Atari controllers, I will give them credit on the bidet. Lived in Bangalore for 7 months and traveled all over India on a Royal Enfield, and had to get a bidet when I got back.
