Does it ever worry you about getting blood transfusions when you're lying near the company of some of these characters also giving blood?

I’ve always used the mobile blood center & there’s rarely anyone else in there with me but my Dad has donated blood before surgeries in case it was needed
He’s let us know more than once he doesn’t want someone else’s blood

Don't worry. It's not blood transfusions. It's all tested with multiple assays to make sure it's safe. And then a final viral inactivation is done before becoming an injectable product. There haven't been any issues since the 80s.

If I need a blood transfusion, I figure I won’t much give a shite. And if I do, I won’t be in a position to complain about it.

The plasma center for sure exists on a very different level than the blood center.

When you need blood, it is something you do not worry about.
I have been in that situation, where I needed platelets and blood.
Luckily, I also have friends that still to this day donate blood as they remember when I needed it.
That is the best gift they could ever given me.
