So what should I have my daughter participate in when she turns 4/5? I guess it'll be jiu jitsu and gymnastics

It was literally garbage. Just another piece of worthless junk. Meant nothing and they'd forget about it in a minute anyway.
The lesson, however, is quite valuable.

I'll post some pics of our rings later. Right now I'm hitting the local maternity wards 'crootin new players.
I've got a friend who's got a good travelball breeding program. Let me know if you want his contact. He can have a player born in 11 months once you decide what specs you need.

Pageants of course. She can be the next Honey BooBoo. And it's something she and her momma can do together.

3&4 yr olds at our youth park learn to play IRL baseball positions. They hit off a tee unless they can hit a tossed ball.

I love T-ball. The kids are having fun and learning the very basic of the basics.
First of all, the kids playing T-ball are about 4 years old. At that age, I don't think most kids have extremely well developed hand/eye coordination or very long attention spans. If they can field a grounder and remember to throw it to 1st base, they're doing okay. The kid at 1st is usually the "best" player on the team, if for no other reason than he can semi-consistently catch a ball.
There were probably also 5 or 6 "coaches" lined up behind the kids, unless things have changed. They're there not so much to coach, but as to prevent a child from taking a shot to the face. A trip for ice cream or a snoball after the game is way better than a trip to the ER.
The best part of T-ball is the couple of times a game when a batter actually makes good contact and hits a ball into the outfield on the fly. Then, everyone on the team except the 1st Baseman - maybe 8, maybe 10 or 12 kids - runs in a pack after the ball. It's hysterical!

You have to tell us what league/park this was at.
I've never heard of it.
I coached girls t-ball last year. 4 year olds. Only 4's play t-ball, 5/6 do coach pitch by us.
Anyways, all the kids play in the field and all the kids bat each inning. No catcher, we had two pitchers, 1B, 2B, someone standing on 2nd, SS, 3B, and the rest scattered in very short outfield. Team in the field had three coaches - one roughly behind each base.
No umpires, no scoring. A true focus on hitting, running, catching, throwing.
Kids basically play a different position each inning.
So much fun to coach.

The first inning of the first game is cute. After that it's just tedious.

You know what is typically in abundance at T-ball games?
Hot moms and aunts. There might even be the occasional hot grandmother when four year olds are playing.
