Yes, every single one of them lack social skills because every single one of them are held at home all the time and they never see other kids. End sarcasm.

So much stupid in everyone that thinks this.

Was in a waiting room last week a mother and three home schooled girls came in. I know because she announced it to everybody

Wouldn’t sit in waiting room in spite of plenty of chairs. Wouldn’t take 1 child back for X-ray in spite of one looking to be 13 or so
Used every drop of hand sanitizer she could find and had an obvious aversion to sitting next to older black folks.

The kids may be awesome, but the mom was odd as can be

Most people fail to understand that learning how to socialize is as important to a child's development as learning to read. The kids that are home-schooled don't know how to deal with other people. They are emotionally stunted. This is not speculation either. It's a fact.

I used to make this exact statement. Then I became a teacher and spent ten years in the classroom. My kids went to private schools and good public schools for a while and, as a teacher, I believed in the system. I am no longer a teacher and my kids are homeschooled. If you haven't spent time in the classroom or had to deal with your kids coming home crying after extreme bullying, you aren't going to understand. The schools are much much different than they were when we were coming up. I promise you- my kids get a much better education than their peers and they don't have to deal with the blatant indoctrination, bullying (from teachers and students), and have far more freedom.

I am an atheist and a proponent of public schools but I like Tim Tebow, he seems like a really nice dude that is down to earth, and not weird to me. Different from me doesn't make somebody weird. Not sure what the problem with him is.

Nah. It can be isolating, but doesn’t have to be. My granddaughter has home-schooled for a year and a half & they are constantly doing stuff with other kids. Very active homeschooling group. She’s from Louisiana & is very warm and friendly; moved to Iowa which is super stoic & the teacher told my son and daughter in law that the kids didn’t know how to take her. My daughter in law volunteered for several months before they made the decision to homeschool; my granddaughter is so much happier.

Same here. Every time we hear a couple say, "we home school our kids" we are like, "oh it makes sense now".

Always off center and weird

You live in Houston? Are the public schools woke progressive? I'm so confused by this consistent assertion.

I'd understand it in New York or California or Austin something, but Houston?

Tebow won a Heisman and a natty and married an actual female Miss Universe.

How do you measure up against that, normie?

Bullying angers me to no end, and extreme bullying should be handled swiftly and mercilessly.

But sheltering them from mean people (run of the mill bullying, not extreme) the right way to go about it? Or is it to teach them how to handle mean people? I meet adult bullies in the professional world all the time.

I'm not really talking about your kids, I don't know how badly they were bullied, more speaking in general. I luckily have very sweet kids, like their mother, and I was worried they were going to be targets because they're so nice. I have had to teach one of my sons how to deal with assholes at school and he has grown immensely by putting it into action. He's gained so much confidence by going through that and coming out the other side.

Homeschooling is the racist’s utopia. It allows them to instill racist and transphobic values into their children, allowing them to groom extremists in the shadows. The govt MUST be able to monitor their development for their safety.

Thug students are putting teachers in the hospital.

Home Schooling is almost always a better choice.
