LSU won 42-0
Southwestern Louisiana Industrial Institute Bulldogs became Southwestern Louisiana Institute Bulldogs (SLI), then Southwestern Louisiana University Bulldogs, changing to the Ragin Cajuns in 1962, then in 1999, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
And believe it or not, in 1907 LSU played Havana University at Havana, Cuba. LSU won 56-0.
In 1920 LSU played Louisiana Normal for the first time. LSU won 34-0. In 1940 they became Northwestern Louisiana University (Natchitoches).
Just some tidbits to feed on.

Curiously, the last time LSU played, we scored 42 as well.

Don't forget 1936 when LSU beat SLI-High, 93 zip.

LSU ranked #2 in 1936. They played Santa Clara in the sugar bowl, and lost.

The previous year, the Tigers gave a 38-0 beating to the New Orleans YMCA.
ETA: In 1899, LSU beat Lake Charles High School by a score of 48-0.

LSU has played ULaLa 22 times and 16 of those have been shutouts.
ULaLa averages 1.1 points/game vs LSU.

My dad was at LSU that year - I still have his yearbook for 1936 (the year the first Mike the Tiger arrived on campus).

I rode by the University of Havana last May and though of this same thing. I didn't see a soccer field.

I don't believe U Laf has ever scored a TD against LSU.

LSU's inaugural football game was a 34-0 loss to Tulane.

And Tulane lost to Ole Miss the week later. There was a cool article in the Sdvocate about all those earlier games a couple of days ago

Not a lot was in the early papers about football, just a blurb here and there.
LSU games didn't start being broadcast on radio until about 1931 or 1932.
