This wasn't a requirement in Louisiana in '86. I got DL and didn't have a social security #

I will update this at the end, I promise. If someone "outs" this prior to that, and posts my information online, I'll request this thread get deleted and walk away.

If you want info and you'll keep it to yourself until this is over with ,shoot me an email.

I mean…you opened this can o’ worms LOL.
civil dockets are public record, as the courts belong to the people.

your lawsuit if docketed will be publicly available to read and view and it will contain your personal information. You’ve chosen to disclose that information the second you filed. Ironically that’s the hill (disclosure) you’re now trying to defend with the lawsuit in the first place.

Let's be honest, we're just in it for the schadenfreude.

if we shine the light of “reasonable use” to the language of the statute(s) and policies pasted here ad nauseum, it’s pretty clear to me that DMV is just following written guidelines and regulations and are not deliberately inflicting injury on this plaintiff. Intent is not required to show fault but it does help.

I’m fascinated both by the OPs hubris and his apparent surplus of time and money. Let’s see what both get him

I'm completely aware of this. I'd imagine if you are a member of the BAR that's public record too but that doesn't mean you want all your info posted on tigerdroppings.

I guess I was expecting some common courtesy but if you folks can't manage that. I even gave you the option of me emailing you info.

If you plan on posting it, I'll just request the thread get killed.

You all may be correct and this is a massive waste of time and you get a great story to tell your buddies.

This is the first time in 20+ pages of posts where you’ve even hinted that the actions you are taking and have taken could be wrong.

What lawyer’s beach condo are you helping refurnish so you can get your kid a DL without getting him a SSN that he will end up getting anyway?

And I won’t be telling any of my buddies about this because while it is stupid and deserving of being mocked, regardless of the outcome, it’s certainly not something I feel like talking about with my friends in my spare time. (More than happy to post while I’m at work though.)

Isn't there a requirement the guidelines/policies be in compliance with the law?

Of course you will. Don't like the direction it's going in now, do you?

-files lawsuit against state
-brags about it on Tigerdroppings
-gets pissy when reminded that now people will be able to find out who he is
-threatens to take ball and go home

Of course I could be wrong. It's infinitely possible.
I just don't think I am. At the end of the day, if a judge sees the world a different way, then I take the "L".

You seem irrationally angry over this though. If I've somehow ruined your day, I'm sorry and hope it gets better.

the “law” is not a thing it’s a formula for interaction. What you should be doing is contacting your state representative and/or senator AND the DA’s office to bring the matter to their attention and request relief there. Ya know…instead of suing them LOL

I wasn't going to post it. I just wanted to see if you were full of shite. which you are, because a suit against the OMV must be filed in the 19th, in east baton rouge.
