no i do not. like i said, my dad learned about the courthouse deal years later from the owner's son. my grandfather didn't know why they backed out and the company wouldn't give him details. he had suspicions, but there was no proof. He didn't go around blaming or hating white people. He was well respected by white and black and our family still is.
Yes, my family still owns the land. No, that part is not under lease.

White guilt is pointless, as it is also pointless for black people to hold whites accountable for transgressions generations ago. All of our ancestors did fricked up shite at one time or another. The best way to mend it is to acknowledge the wrongfulnesss, then focus our energies on continuing to make the future better than the past by virtue of not distilling each other's thoughts and actions down to the color of the speaker in question.
Side note: I also think it's interesting that we're seeing the racial divide rhetoric pushed so much these days even as rates of interracial relationships/marriage continue to rise.

I think it's more just media/political talk and internet garbage.
People say shite on the internet they would never say in public.
If you never watched TV or got on the internet, you'd probably have no clue about the "racial divide". And like you said about interracial couples and whatnot, you'd probably think the exact opposite. In public, everyone is generally nice to each other.

Actually I got pushed out of a promotion due to the need for exactly 17% black in management. The HR guy pulled me aside and told me before the announcement. Maybe affirmative action hurts minorities more than it helps???? So it has affected me since it was reverse discrimination. He was a "problem-ed" employee at the plant. He was removed due to not being able to handle the job within 2 years after several mess ups and costing the company much money in mistakes. If they would judge based on the merit of a person, just as MLK said, he would've never been selected.

Those pansy millionaire actors and actresses can talk all the shite they want about this and that.... and their maltza ball loving bosses who run the entertainment industry and many other things can kiss my fat, hairy American non PC/pandering arse.
It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure out that the media overhypes social issues and magnified spot situations they want to hammer home.
I have extreme liberal/Marxist friends. It’s amazing how their political views changed once they hit their 30’s and they were in an upper tax bracket.
