Agreed. To buy a house that isn't terrible, you're looking at 80-120k a year at the very least. Just renting, you can get away with 40k+ as a single person.

Yeah the SF Bay area is kicking my arse in cost of living. I had to nearly double what I was making back in NOLA.

Well I would suggest Ft Collins CO but you will likely have the same license issue you have in Steamboat
