I think what the poster said about sitting them down and explaining the consequences of what can happen with inappropriate pictures and the various nefarious methods out there that can ruin lives.

This girl I have on SnapChat has Narcolepsy and takes a certain medication that causes her to do crazy stuff when she sleeps.

This. The whole point of Snapchat is that it allows someone to send a message or pic that is deleted after a few minutes.
There is nothing to stop someone from taking and saving a screenshot of said pic for later use.
