I went to Breaux Mart earlier. It was a very pleasant shipping experience bet there were still lots of shelves that were empty or seriously depleted.

No toilet paper, hand sanitizer or liquid hand soap.

No sliced bread, hamburger or hot dog buns. Plenty of options like French bread, baguettes, rolls, bagels and tortillas.

Limited quantities on prepackaged cold cuts (deli was still stacked), hot dogs, eggs, milk, and chicken.

Everything else was stocked pretty well. and I was able to do most of my normal shipping with no crowds and no one in line

You’re right, I work in beer sales here. Managers have a huge role In their stores. Walmart managers are usually the worst because they score out on how much product is in their back room. They would basically rather their shelves be empty then having back stock.

Meanwhile, Publix will bring in excess of sale items to satisfy demand.

Demographics plus management. If the store has a good manager that stays on the workers' asses to keep shelves stocked, there's going to be stuff to buy. You walk into any random Walmart and look at the store manager, and that tells you all you need to know.

The stuff generally goes right from the truck to the shelves.

Grocery stores don't keep a ton of inventory in the back.

Lake Jackson too.

The Vintage HEB was wiped out on Friday. The bread aisle was literally bare. Didn't venture to the paper goods because we get those from Costco and just replenished before the hysteria hit.

When they announce a two week quarantine then you'll see mass hysteria in all the grocery stores.

Maybe at some stores but not at Walmart. I would believe this at say, a Rouse's.

O’Neal Walmart got a bunch of bread in around noon today. It’s probably gone already.

We're already under a voluntary quarantine. They're not going to do that.

Albertsons at Bluebonnet and Burbank was pretty wiped out yesterday when I went. No bread, no water, no paper products, only meat left was high end cuts of red meat.

I shopped at a Kroger's subsidiary early yesterday morning. I was rather impressed with one man's Nobel Prize in Physics worthy ability to singled handedly manage to guide three completely full shopping carts to and through the checkout line.

I own a bread route and have been to many grocery stores the last couple of days. The ones I have seen wiped out are Krogers, Walmart, Sams, and Costco. Places like Food City and Food Lion have had most items except for bread and paper products. If you have some kind of of mom and pop grocery store near you I would check there for hard to find items. They have mostly been fully stocked.

There was a guy, I think, in a hazmat suit at Wally World yesterday.
