I’m not whit, but I’m 36. Just thought you should know that since we’re internet friends and all.

I came to rehab for heroin and cocaine back in August, after 20+ years.
I got out of the car and handed them my rig at the door. 2 weeks ago they handed me a set of keys to the building and put me on staff.
I thought crazy shite happened when I was "out there", but this is still surreal.
Best of luck.

Good shite Titus. I pretty much did the same thing in March

Hell yeah.
I honestly thought I was beyond the point of no return after that long of using. Was just circling the drain. I had a 13 and 14 day clean stretch in over 2 decades until this 5 month stretch.

Good luck buddy!! My wife just got home today from a 90 day treatment.
It was hard as hell for both of us, but it was well worth and had to happen for our family to survive.
Take care, man.

I have a couple high school buddies caught on this train now in their late 20s. Hard to watch. No responsibilities, no woman, no formidable careers, just waiting for Thursday-Sunday and chasing the line.

My baby is supposedly getting out on 01/31. I haven't seen her since June 1st of 2018.

You got this man. Just get a good mind set going in and put in the work. You'll be fine.

Good luck man. It's tough to make that decision and takes a lot of self awareness, but you'll be better for it. I hope you find what is missing that's being substituted with vodka.

My brother went there. Amazing place. Sadly 10 months ago he died from a heroin overdose. And 10 months later his sister is rocking sobriety and I’m so proud of it.
Alcohol was my drug of choice.
I wrote a blog on a sober mother’s website and if you’d ever want to read it I can share my experience. I’m dealing with a breakup currently and I’m so happy to say, I’m still sober and no matter what, drinking wouldn’t make the pain go away, it would only make it worse.
Huge huge huge props for going in. One minute at at a time.
When you get out, surrounded yourself with people who support your sobriety and don’t urge you to just have one.
There are amazing group out there. I have two sober friends who I rely on constantly.
Remember, alcohol never made it better. It only numbed what you were struggling with.

Good luck Whit! My good friend is being admitted this week to a rehab just north of birmingham. I was thinkinh about sending little presents every week, like a cat puzzle or people of walmart coloring book. Do yall think it’s ok to send silly stuff or should I just write serious letters?

I'd like to read your blog post, if you'd share it with me.
I'm not sure if any kind of addiction is my problem, but something has me unsettled of late.
