The scene outside the grocery where he was beating up the grocer is borderline sad.
I guess he must have produced it to some extent though. Saw Tribeca films and figured it might be him.

i thought de niro's acting AND appearance was awful throughout, although that appears to be an unpopular opinion. pacino, on the other hand.. pretty good.

Just finished it. Thought it told the story of what happened to Hoffa really well.

Good god. Deniro was horrible pretending to be some young up and coming mobster. He’s all hunched over and looks like he has scoliosis but I’m supposed to believe he is beating up people. I literally wondered if he was going to have a heart attack during some scenes. It completely took me out of it. They would have been so much better off finding someone else to play these guys in the earlier scenes. I know that would take away from having the huge stars on screen the entire time but so what. I switched to something else after an hour despite liking the story. It’s slow but I’m still interested in finishing someday.
