This is one of those times my general trolling coincides with absolute truth.

And yes, the dog does have a blanket with tiny paw prints on it.

Mine do the doggie door thing. They spend 95% of the time inside watching their big screen tv. Sometimes they let me share my bed and sofa with them. The 5% of the time when they are outside they forage for food i.e. lizards, frogs, birds and squirrels.

Our Great Dane is an inside dog. Of course, she has her own bedroom. Only sleeps on her bed, with her cat.

I used to never let my dogs inside when I lived in Iowa. They were all labs and had a well insulated dog house to live in.

On the coldest of days I could stick my hands in their house and notice how warm it was in the dog house. With proper nutrition, shelter, and exercise they all lived fine in the outdoors.

My Aussie loves to be out in the cold, but not as much as she loves to be with me.

I'm working in the office this a.m. and she's sleeping by my desk.

When it gets warm next week, she's going out with me to work over some water moccasins. She's good at eliminating venomous snakes.

ETA: I'm all for leaving venomous snakes be, but kids go down to a really cool "big rock" creek and the moccasins have been sunning out in that area in big quantities.

It's crazy. And, as seen in this thread, half the idiots literally think that dogs will die if left outside. Think it's a cruel inhumane practice. Hilarious

My dogs and cats are my babies. Inside all the way. They have a big fenced yard to play in but none of them are interested in staying out for more than 30 minutes or so.

We had a 65 pound mixed lab/healer that was kept outside mostly. She had a large covered area for shelter and an igloo in which to sleep. However, she hated freezing cold, thunder and fireworks. She slept in the inside laundry room in those situations. Unfortunately, we had to euthanize her last September at age 14 as her health started to deteriorate the prior year, lost her hearing and the final insult was both hind legs became paralyzed. She was a very good dog until her last seconds on earth.

Our dog isn't allowed on the furniture, but that isn't because I think god believes they don't belong there.

I don't care where you put your dog as long as you aren't hurting it. But acting like religion or their preference is why you handle your business is a cop out.

You can always tell a "dog" person, by the way they smell at work. It's as bad as smokers. They think no one notices, but they smell like the inside of a kennel.

Hell I am a huge dog person. I love them. I hunt the hell out of mine, pet his head, and feed him. He loves his life as a DOG. A dog. Not a human

Deflective answer.

I said climate controlled. Comfortable is subjective.

I don't know you, but gun to my head I'd bet you're domicile is equipped with an HVAC system. At the very least you have a window unit.

You're defending a person that says god created dogs with the intent that they stay outside. If we are to be where god intended us to, he should ditch his A/C. Standing by that declaration that god's intent is above all else means forgoing modern comforts unless he wants to be a hypocrite (which we all are).

Obviously I don't expect him to forgo A/C and I don't expect him to bring his dog inside. I just expect people to be reasonable enough to admit that they don't let their dog inside because they don't want to. Don't blame someone else.

Dogs are animals. They don't crave the comforts of humans. That's something we've superimposed on them.

Uh, you're not differentiating between a dog and a human. You lose.

God created wolves. Then man took wolves and made a tool out of them and called them dogs. And it became a symbiotic relationship

Then weirdos tried to make dogs humans
