I'm from NOLA, lived in there until age 25. moved to Bham. I love it here. Bham is very underrated. I hope people continue to overlook it, it wouldn't be the same if it got the credit it deserves.
I love visiting NOLA, family is still there but i have no desire to move back. Charlotte is pretty nice, i loved visiting there. Seems the downtown area is pretty cool.
If i was considering a move, Nashville would be first on my list before Charlotte or NOLA

Charlotte, and not even remotely close.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, Bham is making great strides. It sure needed to.
And a much larger percentage of the people here are stiffs, compared to what I am used to. Wouldn't swing if you hung them.

That's not what you wrote. You wrote "had a big city feel". Charlotte hardly has that feel. More like a couple big companies in a sprawling suburb.

No kids?
New Orleans
Kids?
Birmingham
I would never live in Charlotte.

I'm not even sure he understands what he's arguing here.
Nobody's disputing whether Charlotte has the largest real population number out of the three. It clearly does currently.

I live in Charlotte. It's pretty badass AMA
Great schools, nightlife, sporting events, music, restaurants, outdoor activities, way safer than others mentioned.

Not even sure how NOLA can be in the same conversation with these other two cities.
Good and bad NOLA is a very unique city where as the other two are cookie cutter as shite.

Birmingham really isn't, though. I get a lot of the other gripes about it, but it's not what I would consider "cookie cutter" at all.
Have you spent any time there?

My statement about big city feel is the fact that I'd group it more with big cities. It's the 16th largest city in the US by population. Whereas Birmingham is 101st largest.
Population wise, Charlotte is up there with Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Detroit. Birmingham is with Fayetteville, NC, Baton Rouge, and Richmond Virginia.
ETA: Nobody living in Birmingham feels like they live in a "big city". Doubt the same could be said about Charlotte.
