This is old, so it may have been posted, but he has a good point. People seem to be detached from reality when it comes to goods and services and the economy.

It burns my arse every time I see Progs lambasting businesses for trying to make a profit.

You can add to his quote at the end "and they dont make it for nothing" If business dont make money then we dont have those jobs.

They don’t want jobs. They want comfort, and they mistakenly believe that only the government can ensure it

Why is it such a great idea for p4ople to buy shite just because it's there to buy? That's your conservative view of capitalism?

profit is what helps them reinvest in R&D or a rainy day fund to survive through leaner times. I always question if they include that in “profit” or if they get made for charging anything more than the cost of the materials? It’s all confusing.

Yeah, most people don't realize that all profit has to be designated, and in a publicly traded company, this info is available.

Because maybe they uh... need what they are buying? And even if what they are buying isn't a necessity, isn't that the point of capitalism - to control your own destiny through hard work and merit instead of through free govt handouts?
