I've lived in both North Carolina and the Los Angeles area.
I enjoy LA, but I'd choose central North Carolina any day of the week.

It would be somewhere in CO or North CA for me. Every time I've ever been in the mountains it feels right to me. Gets too cold for the wife though...
I'm working on it though, North CA is looking more like an option every passing day now

Indispensable income? Like I can't spend it? frick. I guess my parents' basement.
Unlimited income? I wouldn't live any one place.
If I made $750k plus a year and had time to enjoy it? San Diego probably.

I plan on moving back to DFW. I will probably move back to the FL Gulf Coast when I retire.

Most people want to move somewhere far away from where they currently live, but I would be happy just heading down to the Alabama Gulf Coast (or parts of the FL panhandle coast) and living there. I really love the Ft. Morgan area, less busy.

I'm moving to Austin for my new job which is a top choice for me.
I'd move back to La Jolla, CA (San Diego area) in a heartbeat.
Denver is tops on my list.

Picked Asheville - working in Dallas; enjoyed living there, but retired and decided western NC mountains were where I wanted to be.

Overrated.
I would love to live on the South Carolina coast, but I don't think I could live in Charleston.
