I'm sorry but Portland winters are not great. They're cold and wet any way you slice it.

Right now it's 19 degrees there with humidity.

The keys in Florida would be hard to pass up if money was. I object.

Montana or Colorado would be incredible.bit I'm not much for the cold.

Honestly, at this age and with so much family in south LA... I would be perfectly content on the coast in Mississippi. Bay St Louis maybe.

Pretty rare for it to be that cold.

Northwest somewhere. Seattle or anywhere in that area, really.

Kailua, Oahu if I could live anywhere, but I'd want enough free time to be able to travel to the mainland several times a year.

If we're talking about continental US, then I'd say somewhere like Boulder, or possibly staying in south Louisiana (due to family).

True. But this is not normal.

Saturday, the low here is going to be 27 degrees. The low in Baton Rouge is going to be 23. Both regions are having brutal weather.

I don't think we got this cold at all for the last two years, here in Portland. The winters are undoubtedly better in the La. The summers are without question better in Oregon. People in Oregon don't understand how people can stand the heat an humidity of the deep south. People in the deep south don't understand how people tolerate the winters up north. You adapt.

The winters in the PNW are definitely much milder than the midwest or New England.
