I prefer to live closer to my family and friends. If you take that out of the equation, I would have a much different answer.

Lived in the Midwest/Southeast my whole life. Would love to go out West. Pacific NW like Portland or Seattle, or SoCal like SD or LA. Colorado would be fun but I don't know if I could deal with all the snow.

I know this is a troll post, but I don't know a single person who doesn't currently live in Kaplan that even wants to go there, much less live there

Career. Family obligations. Hobbies. Court ordered sanctions.

Where you live isn't always someones top priority.

So you laugh at me when I say NOLA bc it is my home, but you want to live near a cotton field?

denver isnt all that IMO

been there a hundred times for work

most of my buddies that moved there for a job already moved back. too damn cold and could never keep there car clean because of all the fricking salt and black ice on the road

traffic is awful in the winter from all the snobs going to the ski resorts and its brown as frick

there are worse places to live, just saying denver isnt that great

its far away from everything too

Can't believe the number of people that want to live in DC.

Good job market, but what's the attraction otherwise?

- Outrageous cost of living
- What I've always thought is the worst traffic in the country
- Terrible bars with expensive drinks
- Decent food, but nothing to rave about.

What am I missing? There are, of course, a shitload of museums, but those aren't something you do more than a couple times for the most part.

Yeah.
I'm a country redneck frick
Luckily we aren't poor so I can wander away when needed.

As I've said many times on here not worrying about having to lock my doors is underrated.

I would pick Montana. People I know that have been coast to coast say north Carolina.

Montana is beautiful but I couldn't see living there. I think that people say NC because it's kind of an in between southern state that appeals to both southerners and northerners. But it's pretty blah imo.

DC has loads going for it if you like living in a city/urban area. I think that it's the most educated city in the country. Certainly more than Los Angeles where it seems most residents didn't even graduate HS. But DC has become ridiculously expensive. Mostly because our government pays top dollar for consulting.
