The St George movement wasn't about oppressing black people. It was about getting away from BR's shitty public schools. It's worked well for Central and Zachary. I live in the area and it'll come up again this year.
If you are talking about the real St George then that flew over my head. I'm not Catholic.

I grew up in one of the three neighborhoods with the shortcut through them all that only the kids that lived there knew about. University Acres, Woodstone, and Woodgate. One of the three would be my choice if I moved back.

We live in Lakes at White Oak. A little out of the way from the city center but still fairly close to school and work for us. We have a big yard and it's quiet. I can shoot straight down Coursey and Jefferson and be at work in 15-20 minutes.

I love it here. My office is off of Perkins near the Pennington Center, so I have an easy route via Kenilworth to/from work and there is a great grocery store (Robert Fresh Market) on the route. I am close to LSU and The Box in particular. It is difficult to get to the Interstate at times though due to traffic.

Any kids? Seemed like everyone in my class at Uhigh lived in one of the three. It was a great place to grow up. I drive through every time I’m home visiting my parents.

College town, University Gardens close to the lakes, anywhere on Lakeshore Drive, . Traffic is not a factor.
