Either there when the pyramids were built or the Sphinx. I'd like to know how they moved those blocks and set them with the precision that they are in. We're closer to Cleopatra's time than she was to the time the pyramids were built. Crazy to think about

Easily 102 BC France.

Watching Gaius Marius slaughter 90,000 out of 120,000 Germans with a mere 6 Legions had to be epic.

I would have loved to have ridden with Forrest at Brice's Crossroads as well.

I'll be there next Monday, I'll let them know your high level of concern.

FYI: The lentils used to be uninterrupted all the way around the structure.

For me, maybe (if the great Mediterranean flood actually happened) that or some other cataclysmic natural event. Maybe the dinosaur extinction event from a safe distance.

Am I guaranteed not to die?

I would have loved to have been at Cannae.

Mongol sack of Baghdad. The greatest city in the world at the time going under the thumb of the most terrorizing army the world has ever seen.

It would have been fascinating to have been at the landing of the Europeans in the new world.

Any number of points in the French Revolution and subsequent Republic and Empire.

I'd like to be present at the signing table on the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay, August, 1945.

There was an very old gentlemen at our Church that was on the Missouri when the surrender was signed. He watched from one of the upper masts. He was in his 80's 11 years ago but he was a gentle humble soul.

On one occasion, he told our mens group that the US had prepared a big reception below deck after the signing. Once the Japanese dignitaries had finished signing the documents, the American officials began to invite the Japanese delegation below. The Japanese delegation resisted. The American and Japanese delegations went back and forth on this for a few minutes until finally the Japanese Delegation went below. Later the Japanese confessed to the American delegation they thought they were being escorted below to be executed.
