I can see FMOL sinking more money into St Elizabeth in the near future if this does happen. The nuns aren't going to go down without a fight.

Oh, so they can build a new hospital in Ascension, but nothing new for the good people of North BR? That's some racist arse shite, right there.

Gravy and Co. need the right kickback deal first.

gonna be a cluster in that area during construction.

It already is without the construction.

By these days, do you mean summertime?

well yeah. but, i travel that road every morning. even during school it's tolerable. I mean it's not great but, the months after the flood when some other roads were closed and d'town and st amant were sharing one school building showed me how bad it "could" be.

That's what i expect if they build a hospital there.

Not to mention the primary school that is going to be built on Hwy 73 close to I-10.

I thought a middle school was being built on Bluff Rd?

Perhaps the population increase can fill St John/St Theresa enrollment.

BTW...for those who remember back in the day...whomever's idea was to widen hwy 44 from 2 lane to 4 lane in 1985 from Airline Hwy to 621 was a freakin genius. There was nothing but fields and cow pastures at that time. Where are those experts today?

Replaced by the moron who decided to 1 lane the part by Black Bayou extension in favor of turn lanes

btw.. anyone notice they added turning arrows on the 621 side of the 621/airline intersection?

good idea but, they seemed to have cut the time down to like 10 seconds.

also, it has freaked some people the frick out. lights turn green and they have no idea how to proceed.

Corner of 621 makes more sense.

Sorry, I gave bad info. They were originally gonna build an urgent care on 621. Apparently that changed and they bought property on 73 and changed it to a hospital. So it is indeed on 73.
