I can't wait for the new age of Ascension parish traffic.

quote from Business Report:
Baton Rouge General Medical Center has plans for two major expansions in Ascension Parish and Baton Rouge.

The hospital system says it plans to break ground on a $30 million, three-story hospital at La. 73 and Interstate 10 in Prairieville sometime early next year. Meanwhile, it’s planning a roughly $40 million, 65,000-square-foot expansion of the critical care tower at its Bluebonnet campus in Baton Rouge.

It's actually going to be right off of 621 near that intersection.

Oh, so they can build a new hospital in Ascension, but nothing new for the good people of North BR? That's some racist arse shite, right there.

Corner of 621 makes more sense.

The amount of development (multiple neighborhoods, local businesses, strip malls, storage facilities, hotels) from Airline / Hwy 73 to Hwy 73 / Hwy 30 is impressive.

It already is. frick Matassa and his cronies. We can barely get out of our neighborhood alive as it is. How in the hell do they keep building shite without addressing infrastructure? I'm seriously thinking about relocating further out.

As long as it's not on Hwy 44 between Airline hwy and Black Bayou. That's my turf.

BTW...for those who remember back in the day...whomever's idea was to widen hwy 44 from 2 lane to 4 lane in 1985 from Airline Hwy to 621 was a freakin genius. There was nothing but fields and cow pastures at that time. Where are those experts today?

By these days, do you mean summertime? Give it a couple weeks and you will be reminded how God awful hwy 73 is when school is in. Now they want to add a hospital to that traffic. frick Matassa

Too much money to be made hustling developers to worry about roads and shite. Can't steal tax money as easy as getting paid off to grease the wheels of new developments. Isn't that right Matassa?

Shawn it appears you have a lot of love for the Matassa and Berthelot crews... some on that council that represent our parish are thickening their pockets as well.

When 44 was widened in the 80's, someone had vision. But that was also a time when you could visit Lamendola's or Delchamps and see everyone in town. The outside influence remained outside of Gonzales.

Not to mention the primary school that is going to be built on Hwy 73 close to I-10. If they don't 4-lane Hwy 73, I don't know how in the hell any of those places will be accessible.

They are no longer going to build there from what I was told. I thought that the hospital bought that land and was going to build there but maybe I'm wrong. I did hear that the school board was trying to sell that property.
