What if you are in the process of passing a line of cars? Cars are going 75. You are going 82. Car coming 95 behind you. Are you expected to speed up to 95? Hell no.

Attempting to safely get away from a long line or "cluster Fu*k" of cars is a wise defensive driving move BUT.....
your attepting to pass all those vehicles in the passing lane at only 7 MPH!! over the flow of traffic is the problem.
If you decide to get away from the herd merge left and then "Get a move on"

The Left Hand "roadblocking" Driver above makes it sound like a "one instant" encounter with someone suddenly appearing in his rear, but I guarantee you it was'nt! He is a repeat offender and is far more dangerous than those travelling faster than him.

Problem with these drivers is they do not check their rear view mirrors enough, or not at all! And if you are going to merge into the left hand lane you better be damned sure you have "scanned/studied" the situation behind you. If you did'nt do that and are now blocking the vehicle/vehicles & flow behind you then you SCREWED UP and/or a Dangerous Selfish a-hole and need to Immediately get your arse back over OR Drastically speed the frick up until you can!

Don't act like 80mph is an acceptable speed to poke along in the left hand lane on an Interstate when MOST Trucks/18 Wheelers are cruising @ 80.

YOU SHOULD NEVER BE SURPRISED BY AN UPCOMING CAR BEHIND YOU!

I'm already going 80mph in the left lane. frick you if 80 isn't fast enough for you on the interstate!

Just because you’re speeding doesn’t mean you get to camp out in the left lane.

Move the frick over unless you’re passing.

I-12 Hammond to BR might be the worst in the nation to travel.

I-4 in central Florida might have something to atleast debate about that, both are awful!

Undoubtedly the fault of the driver of the big truck hauling the mobile home, probably swerving in and out of lanes between all of the passenger vehicles.

The passing lane rule is simple. If you look in your rear view mirror and see a car then get your butt out of the passing lane.

Yeah but if there is a car in front of me preventing me from going my desired speed I'm not getting into the slow lane. You can wait like the rest of us.

No its not. The problem is the dumbasses that thinks its safe to go 15-20 over the speed limit on a congested interstate.

I agree with you..100%
But we can't stop the speeders and clogging up the passing lanes by driving only a few MPH over the speed limit just adds to the unsafe congestion of vehicles.
It also creates "road ragers" who are the 2nd leading cause of fatalities on the interstate behind the "Cluster fricks" of vehicles that end up in a deadly chain reaction after someone screws up.
